Commonly asked Questions
Q:  Do you give free estimates?  Cheap Charlie gives estimates for free!

A:  Why do you think he is willing to do it for free?
Logically, either they have no work
and are doing anything they can to get into your home, with the hopes of finding or
creating work, or they are planning on making up the money lost by charging you on
the back end.
I would also question why they are so slow when we have been
working both day and night just to keep up with our business.
Our technicians are
highly skilled, expertly trained, and provide the best service in our community, if not
the country!
We are UPFRONT about out dispatch fee because we feel it is a small
amount to ensure you are getting a qualified technician in your home.
Aren't you a bit
hesitant to have a company in your home that will charge you by the hour for work
without knowing what total job cost will be?
Q:  If you don't have an hourly rate or a price to give me, how can I compare your rates to other
companies?

A:  You can!  You can compare our TOTAL price with their total price, if they will even give you one.
Chances are they will only give you an estimate.  What would you rather have; the final cost or a
rough estimate?
Q:  Can you give me a ballpark price on_________?

A:  We have found that ballpark prices over the phone are rarely in the customer's favor.
 We prefer
to be reputable and arrive at your home and evaluate the situation and give you an upfront
straightforward price.
We prefer to be a cut above the rest and not give you a low ball price to get in
your home and then up the price based on, an on- site inspection of the problem, as most other
companies do.
That is why we offer 100% satisfaction.  If you do not feel our technician delivered outstanding
service, if you feel that he is not properly trained and qualified, or you are unhappy with them, then
do not pay us.
Can you get any fairer than that?
Q: Cheap Charlie's Price was much less than yours, Why is yours so high?

A: The question you should be asking is why is theirs so low? You may have gotten quotes that are
for less money.
The thing you need to ask yourself is if they are doing it for less what does that say about their
company?
Are they cutting corners on the work in order to make up for their low cost?
We are upfront with our pricing and there will be no surprise “additional work costs” added in at the
end.

Are they using inferior products?
We only use the top of the line materials since they are the most reliable.

Are they using unskilled, untrained, unlicensed labor?
We hire the Best, Most Professional technicians; we constantly train our techs on a daily basis to
make sure they offer you the best possible service.
Our technicians are all licensed and they would
be happy to show their license to you at any time.

If they do offer a warranty, how do you know they will still be in business to honor it?
In fact the company you may have originally tried calling went out of business for some of the same
reasons mentioned above.
We have been in business for 27 years and we are not going anywhere overnight.
Q: How much to have my electrical service upgraded on my home?

A: For reasons stated above we will not give you a "ballpark" price over the phone,
We prefer to be reputable and arrive at your
home and evaluate the situation and
then give you straightforward total cost to do the job prior to doing any work.
We can give you some reasons why our service upgrades are "a cut above" the rest.

All Work to Be Done on your service includes the following:

100% Satisfaction Guarantee and a 3 Year Electrical Panel & Main Service Guarantee.
(
Industry standard guarantee on all work done by reputable electrical companies is 90 days to1 year from date of installation.
Some fly-by-night companies will not offer a warranty at all
.  We guarantee our workmanship for a period of 3 years. We would offer
it lifetime but since the National Electrical Code changes every 3 years this would be impossible to do.
If your panel or service
gives you any trouble at any time during that period, we will repair the problem free of charge.
 We guarantee that all materials
used will be specified and up to code in your area.  And we guarantee to protect the condition of your home. (
I would be glad to
give you numbers to other electrical companies in your area so you could call and see what their warranties are.
))

This cost would include a Top of the line Square D Homeline 200 amp main breaker panel with Square D brand breakers.
(
We only install Square D panels.  They are the best in the industry.  Many other companies do not have the same material quality
standards that we do and buy inferior panels such as those made by GE, Challenger, etc.
Beware of companies putting in one
manufacturer’s breaker in a panel by a different manufacturer.
If your house were to burn down and it was decided that the panel
played a part in the fire then this action might have voided your homeowner’s insurance policy.
Feel free to call your insurance
company and ask them about it.)

Complete new grounding system including 2 new ground rods.
(This is a new requirement of all services to have 2 separate means of grounding protection to protect your house from electrical
and lighting hazards.)

All Work to be done according to the National Electrical Code in accordance with any and all local ordnances.

Free Permit pulling.
(
Instead of charging you additional for this we will absorb the cost ourselves, Again, Beware of companies who say that they do not
need to pull a permit to do this job, If you are unsure then feel free to call town building department and verify this with them. (I
would be glad to give you their number if you would like.
